About the Author
Michael Thompson’s indie author journey began at age thirteen with the publication of his action-packed Chicken Boy series. Since then, he has spoken on countless panels, podcasts, and programs to both readers and aspiring authors alike, his poetry was recognized in the Writers’ Digest Writing Competition, and his books are bestsellers in independent bookstores across the country.
Acclaimed internationally in the Feathered Quill Book Awards and Readers’ Favorite, his novels include the alternate world / sword-and-sorcery epic fantasy World of the Orb, as well as the cryptozoology-inspired nautical adventures in the Winslow Hoffner Series, a saga which blends his trademark humor and dynamic character ensembles with his longtime fascination with cryptids, folklore, and legends of the deep.
